MMA in Arizona Reves Up

As more and more fighters enter the ranks of the UFC from the state of Arizona it continues to gain prominence. Once, the Phoenix and Scottsdale areas had nothing to offer the MMA enthusiast but with the Lion's Den and a Gracie Jiu Jitsu house, there are more and more options.

If interested in entering the ranks one should consider all the skill sets that are needed to become a successful fighter. What works and what doesn't. Many look to the recent success of Lyoto Machida and think that Karate will make a big comeback but that artform has proven over and over to have little effect inside a mixed martial arts ring. Instead, understand that it's Lyoto's talent that enables him to utilize the few good things about karate (and it's close brothers) and combine them with the basic MMA diciplines.

That means Jiu Jitsu, Mui Thai boxing, wrestling, boxing, ground and pound and those places who teach all the elements of MMA.

Be careful and consult a doctor because this sport is notorious for injuries, both minor and major. Keep safe and think about taking Yoga. Yoga has again and again proven to keep athletes from injuries by keeping them flexible.
